Behnoush Bakhtiari produces short film ‘Nangarhar’ on refugees

Iranian actress Behnoush Bakhtiari produces a short film dubbed ‘Nangarhar’ on Afghan refugees residing in Iran.

Directed by Karim Amini, the film narrates the story of Zarghooneh, an Afghan woman from Nangarhar Province, Afghanestan. Zarghona took refuge with her husband in Iran many years ago.

Iranian actress Negar Abedi stars in ‘Nangarhar’ as the leading woman playing the role of Zarghona.

Abedi had a very short time to learn the Afghan Accent, so the crew hired an Afghan tutor for her, the director told the media.

Amini also said that the film will be submitted as an entry to several national and international film festivals in the near future.
